Early Takeaways From Scrimmages

Despite some early obstacles, the NBA has moved ahead with its plan to resume the 2019-20 season at Disney World beginning on July 30. The 22 participating teams arrived in Orlando from their respective markets earlier this month, and they are moving closer to taking the floor for games that actually matter at the end of the month.
Players, coaches and staff members were isolated in their rooms upon arrival in Orlando, and all had to return two negative COVID-19 tests at least 24 hours apart before they were cleared to begin usual training activities. Once that happened, teams were able to begin group practices and workouts. Some have done so on their own familiar courts, as a number of NBA teams trucked their home floors down to the bubble and set them up in ballrooms.
From there, the next stage of ramping up to the actual games was a series of scrimmages, which began on Wednesday. Each team in Orlando will play three total scrimmages before the seeding games begin. The NBA released the full scrimmage schedule earlier this month. With that said, here’s a look at the complete schedule and the results of the games which have taken place:
